Blueberry Spinach Smoothies....Its delicious!

This morning I wanted to try out a new fitness class but I wasn't sure what to eat before cycling. Smothie to the rescue! I like grabbing a smoothie from Odawalla because they have a lot of good nutrients but at $4 a bottle they add up real quick!

I decided to make my own smoothie this morning. Smoothies are great before a morning workout to have something light in your stomach to get you throw the workout! This smoothie recipe was especially perfect with potassium from the bananas, a boost of antioxidants from the bluberries and my secret weapon.....spinach! Yes Spinach. Spinach has Zinc, vitamins A, C, K, B6, Iron and a boatload of other amazing nutrients for the body! It blends so well I never taste the leafy greans!

Blueberry banana smoothie to go!

1 big handful of frozen organic blueberries

1 meduim banana

1 cup vanilla almond milk

1 handful of frozen spinach

1 scoop of unsweetened  protein powder
