Summer Green Protein Smoothie with Kiwi!!

I love making smoothies in the summer time! They are so light and refreshing and an easy way to sneak in extra vegetables and protein. This creamy smoothie recipe was inspired by the Jillian Michaels App. I tweaked it and added a scoop of my protein powder which is typically sweet so I got rid of the honey and added a wee bit more avocado to keep me feeling fuller for longer. It also contains kiwis! Brilliant!  Who doesn't love kiwis? Not only do they taste incredible but this sweet little fruit provides vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin E, potassium and antioxidants.

In addition to all the kiwi goodness the recipe also calls for frozen mangoes. Mango is another one of my favorite summer fruits! They provide us with fiber, folic acid, vitamin A and C. The mango does an amazing job masking the spinach too!

I feel so energized in this guilt free indulgent smoothie! Its my new go to summer breakfast. Sometimes smoothies will leave you feeling hungry a few hours later. This recipe holds me over on my crazy long days when I don't have time to snack.

Summer Green Protein Smoothie:

1 kiwi

1/2 small avocado

5 oz of almond milk

1 scoop of your favorite vanilla protein power

1 small handful of frozen mango

1 handful of fresh spinach

pure yumminess! ;)
